Our new Brand Ambassador, F1 legend David Coulthard chats to BOTB…

You may have seen last week’s blog piece with news of David Coulthard joining the Best of the Best
team. We spent a day with David recently to create some official company videos and photography
and at the same time we took the opportunity to film a couple of interviews.
First up, DC had a chat with past Supercar winner Alun Rowe to find out what it’s like to take the
winner’s phone call…and then choose the car!
Best of the Best Managing Director and Founder, William Hindmarch, then sat down with DC to talk
through the story so far…and discuss the company’s future plans.
Stay tuned for more from DC over the coming months. And don’t forget, you could win the stunning
Mercedes SLS David and Will are sitting on in this month’s Supercar Competition
For more behind the scenes images from the day and the chance to win £100 worth of Supercar
competition tickets in the Photo Caption Competition head over to our Facebook page.

F1 Legend Signs up with Best of the Best

We’re delighted to welcome David Coulthard – 13-time Formula 1 Grand Prix winner – to the Best of the Best team as our new Brand Ambassador!
David has had an active interest in Best of the Best since first seeing our stands in Heathrow airport as he travelled the globe in his F1 racing days. As with many people, the idea of a Supercar competition greatly appealed to him…and a few years later we now welcome him on board to help grow the company further.
We spent the day with David earlier this month to discuss our car line-ups and future plans, as well as create some promotional videos and photography to be featured on the BotB website, at our airport and shopping centre stands and in our marketing campaigns over the coming months.
We met at a 200 year-old country manor in the Essex countryside set in over 10 hectares of beautiful parkland and gardens. The location formed the perfect backdrop to our line-up of Supercars…and the man himself.
Alongside a stunning Mercedes SLS, other Supercars there on the day included an Audi R8 V10 Spyder, Bentley Continental, Porsche 911, Nissan GTR, Aston Martin V8, Ariel Atom, Lotus Evora and the very latest Range Rover Vogue – every petrolhead’s dream! Each car was polished and shined to within an inch of its life and lined up in a variety of formations…

Thankfully, the heavy rain experienced early in the morning had passed by the time DC arrived on set, so after a quick change, he was whisked into position and the cameras started rolling…
In a blur of filming and takes, DC recorded a number of videos, including an introductory piece on Best of the Best, another explaining the Supercar competition, plus interviews with both William Hindmarch (BotB Founder and MD) and Alun Rowe (a recent Supercar winner).
Interspersed amongst the filming, DC posed for a variety of stills shots – as you’d expect from someone used to appearing in front of a camera, the man was a model pro…and we’re pleased to say, equally charming off-camera!

DC will be the ‘face’ of Best of the Best from April onwards and we look forward to bringing you even more from him in the coming weeks and months.
