Who are we?

Who are Best of the Best (BOTB)?

Best of the Best (BOTB.com) has been running car competitions since 1999 and has given away over £20 million of prizes so far. Every week there is a guaranteed Dream Car winner. We're a UK-based company listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange and are therefore required to adhere to the highest legal and audit standards. Across our Head Office, Airport and Shopping Centre sites we currently employ approximately 60 staff. You can see who works here, as well as information about who is on the Board of Directors and details of our financial advisers on the About Us page.

Where is BOTB based?

Our Head Office address is 2 Plato Place, 72-74 St Dionis Road, London SW6 4TU and we can be contacted on +44 (0)20 7371 8866 or via email at info@botb.com. Tweet us @BOTB_Supercars or get in touch through our Facebook page - facebook.com/BOTBdreamcars.

How many BOTB sites are there and where are they located?

We currently have 8 sites located in the departures lounges of the following airports: Gatwick North & South Terminals, Manchester Terminal 1, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Dublin. There are also sites in the two London Westfield Shopping Centres.

How does it work?

How do I enter/Where can I buy tickets?

Watch our How to win video.

Simply: add tickets to your basket for the cars you'd like to win, play Spot the Ball to enter and then proceed to checkout. You can buy tickets at any of our airport or shopping centre stands or from our website at www.botb.com.

How much is it to enter and do you have any special offers?

Tickets range from £3 - £20, depending on the type of car you'd like to win. Discounts are available for multiple ticket purchases − save 20% when you buy any 5 tickets and 40% for any 10 tickets. We also run regular sales and discounts - keep your eyes peeled!

How many tickets I can buy?

There is currently a limit of 150 tickets per customer, per competition for each Dream Car Competition and one ticket for each Free Competition. Read more in our terms and conditions

Will I get a receipt of my purchase?

You will be emailed confirmation of your order/competition entry immediately after entering. If you're a first time player, you'll also receive an email confirming your account log-in details. Details of all competitions you enter are displayed on the 'My Account' page.

What's Spot the Ball and why do you use it?

We are legally obliged to use a 'game of skill' to determine the winner of our competitions - not a lottery or raffle. We use Spot the Ball as it's widely recognised, fun and an easy way to enter. You will be shown a photograph that does not contain a ball. You must use your skill and judgement to decide where you think the centre of the ball should be. Your chosen points will be recorded as (x:y) coordinates.

Why don't you use the original ball position to judge the winner?

The basis of the game must categorically be the skill of an entrant versus the skill of professionals - not versus the chance that the original spot on the football picture is picked. It is a subtle but important legal definition by which we are bound to operate. The Panel of judges is formed of experienced professionals on a rotating basis, including both referees and players, who each offer their best opinion. By using a panel of judges, it also ensures that nobody can ever know the original position of the ball, resulting in a process that is fair, transparent, audited and honest.

How is the winner decided?

At the end of the competition, the same Spot the Ball picture you used to choose your coordinates is shown to a judging panel comprised of professional sporting experts. In the presence of an independent lawyer they mark where they think, in their professional opinion, the centre of the ball should be. The winner is simply the person who is closest to the judge's position.

What happens if more than one person is equidistant to the judges position?

There can only be one winner. If a case arises where two or more players are equally close to the judges position in a competition, the winner will be determined by calculating the next closest entry of the players in question. The person with the closest second ticket is the outright winner. If any player in this scenario has only one ticket, all players that qualify will play in another Spot the Ball competition online to determine the outright winner. All other players in this scenario will receive £500 in cash and £500 in Game Credit. Be sure to read the full terms and conditions

When does the Dream Car Competition finish and when are the results announced?

There's a Dream Car winner every week. Competitions run from midnight until midnight (GMT), Monday to Sunday, 52 weeks a year. Judging takes place on a Monday morning and the winner will usually be surprised in person by BOTB on Tuesday or Wednesday. Results will be announced to all entrants once the winner has been notified. Competition results will be posted on our website and you will also receive notification via email. You can log in to your Account to check the results, see how close you were and to see if you have earned any rewards in the form of Game Credit.

What is Game Credit?

Game Credit is earned as a reward for doing well in Dream Car Competitions. Game Credit can be used to enter Dream Car Competitions and cannot be exchanged for cash. You can play for free if you have enough Game Credit, or you can use it in part payment. Game Credit will be automatically deducted from your account at the check out stage with any qualifying purchase. Please note, Game Credit will expire - check your Account for details.

Winners and Prizes

How many winners have there been?

Since 1999 we've given away over £19 million worth of cars to more than 250 winners from around the world. See all our winners

Are there winners of every car?

Entrants can choose from over 180 cars in the line-up. At the end of each competition, one car is won. This is determined by matching the winning coordinates from the Spot the Ball game (as chosen by our panel of expert judges) to all the entries.

Do you help with insuring and servicing my dream car when I win?

Yes! Depending on the value of the car won, BOTB will pay up to £2,000 towards insurance costs and up to £800 for servicing. See terms and conditions for full details

If I win can I choose whether my car is Right or Left Hand drive?

Yes - most cars are available in Left or Right hand drive. Please see full terms and conditions for further information

Where do you deliver the car to?

We deliver the car anywhere in the world free of charge (within reason!) All cars are delivered with UK VAT paid. There may be import/registration duties into certain countries which in general we do not pay for. It may therefore be preferable to take the cash alternative and then buy the equivalent car in your country - we can of course assist with this. See terms and conditions for full details on deliveries, taxes and the cash alternative options.

Who decides what cars can be played for?

We do, with your help! There are over 180 cars in our Dream Car Competition line-up, with more added regularly. We welcome your suggestions so please get in touch by emailing info@botb.com

How often do you update information on the Dream Cars?

Specifications, review, RRP and availability of cars in the Dream Car Competition are correct as of 08/01/2016. All prices and specs are checked on a quarterly basis and whilst we endeavour to ensure they are accurate, we cannot be held responsible for slight inaccuracies due to manufacturers adjusting details without notice.

Are you going to add in Motorbikes? Boats? Helicopters?

We're always looking for great new ideas, but for the moment we're concentrating on providing the best Dream Car Competition we can offer!

How can I get further information?
