Best of the Best was set up five years ago by Porsche enthusiast William Hindmarch, whose passion for supercars drove him to think up a way for people to get their hands on one without having to spend thens of thousands of pounds. The first site was set up at Heathrow Airport and the launch car was a black Porsche 996, which was won by Daveeda Shaheen.
Since then, Best of the Best has had 100 winners; out of these, 12 prizes have been Porsches.
A recent winner was Chris Burston (left) who is now the proud owner of a 996 Carrera 4S. "Winning the 911 was a dream come true"" he grins. "The disbelief that the Porsche of my dreams is finally mine still hasn't worn off. I've put 1000 miles on the car in six weeks since I collected it and it stills brings a smile to my face when I turn the key and that flat-six fires up."
Tickets cost £60 for supercar competitions, £20 for sports car, and £15 for superbikes. However, Total 911 has teamed up with Best of the Best to give you the chances of winning free tickets to the latest supercar competition to win a 997-model Carrera S. Turn to page 45 for details.
