Recently Mercedes unveiled their incredible new G-Class range topper – the G63 AMG 6×6 – which added a pickup truck rear to the G-Class along with an extra set of driven wheels at the back, powered by the venerable AMG 5.5 litre twin turbo V8 producing 536 bhp and 561 lb/ft of torque. Coming in at a rather pricey £350,000, it was incredibly impressive, but expected to be seen in the Gulf states almost exclusively.

Well clearly some people thought that a 536 bhp, six-wheel-drive, 3.75 tonne monster wasn’t quite extreme enough – and those people are the wonderful lunatics at Brabus, creating the B63S-700 6×6.

They take the G63 6×6 and add a new pair or turbochargers, a tweaked ECU, high-flow catalytic convertors, a sports exhaust system and additional heat shielding for the intake system. This yields are rather astounding 691 bhp and 708 lb/ft of torque, which even with the monumental weight means the B63S-700 6×6 can sprint from 0 – 62 mph in 7.3 seconds. Top speed, though, is still limited to 99 mph due to the fitment of 37-inch off roading tyres.

As if the normal G63 6×6 wasn’t imposing enough as it was, Brabus have worked their usual subtle yet menacing charm on the big pickup, with carbon parts and extra spoilers adorning the body. Overall it gives a truly incredible look to the G-Class, not overly ‘bling’, just menacing, imposing, threatening even. And we love it. The work continues inside with Brabus’ usual combination of violent red leather and lots of delicious quilting.

The price for this beast of a vehicle is rumoured to be in the region of £500,000, but we say that come the zombie apocalypse, that would be money well spent on this G-Wagen. Oh, and apparently a regular middle eastern Brabus customer has ordered one of these, but with Brabus’ 7.3 litre V12 engine producing 900 bhp. Nice.
