Audi ABT SQ8

Audi ABT SQ8

REVIEW

The Audi Q8 is a beast of an SUV, with a sloping coupe-like rear end and an imposing front end it’s stylish and aggressive at the same time. Engine choices were a bit lacking at launch, but now there’s the SQ8 with a monstrous 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 diesel engine. It comes with 435hp as standard which is pretty punchy, but the tech wizards over at ABT weren’t that impressed, so they added another 75hp to give this a truly crazy 510hp – oh and 970Nm of torque! We’re pretty sure that’s enough to stop the world rotating when you accelerate. To go with that extra power you get a new front and rear skirt, a rear spoiler and some huge 22-inch GR alloy wheels to fill those big arches. ABT also add their Level Control system which works with the air suspension to allow a lower ride height and more adjustability. This really is a crazy vehicle!
