Audi RS6 Performance

REVIEW

The RS6 has always been a hugely popular car here at BOTB and throughout the world. But with 552bhp it was starting to be left behind with Mercedes and BMW looking at 600hp for their next generation E63S and M5. So Audi decided to beat them at their own game and released this – the RS6 Performance. So the boost has been turned up on the 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 to now produce 597bhp and a monstrous 750Nm of torque. What that means is the kind of pace you’d expect from a supercar not a family estate car weighing over 2 tonnes – 0-62mph takes just 3.7 seconds, you can go from rest to 100mph in around 8.5 seconds and if you pay for the Dynamic Plus Pack option, hit 189mph (it’s 155mph without). The RS6 Performance also happens to give the kind of noise usually reserved for Nascar racers and provides the perfect soundtrack to that performance. You also get a few options over the RS6 as standard, like the black pack, 21-inch alloys and Audi Sport exhaust. It’s the kind of car that really can do anything – supercar performance, all-weather traction with AWD and estate car practicality.
