« Back Ford Mountune Focus RS m520 + Ranger Raptor
MOUNTUNE FOCUS RS m520
The Ford Focus RS is a fantastic car, the 2.3 litre engine producing 345bhp, the AWD system with Drift Mode allowing all weather grip and fun when you want it, plus normal five door practicality. But deep in the heart of Essex is Mountune who have been tuning Fords for decades and they’ve been continually improving and tweaking the RS ever since it came out. This new m520 kit is the absolute top of the tree though, and as the numbers suggest it now produces 513bhp (520hp) and 700Nm – in a medium sized hot hatch!
To achieve this, the engine is rebuilt with all new forged internals to ensure it can handle that level of power and a full exhaust to create a crazy noise, while the exterior gets a load of carbon bits and some rally-spec Fifteen52 alloys that sit over improved brakes and on lowering springs. This is a serious bit of kit, aggressive and utterly addictive. We’ve driven this m520 and it’s a truly wild ride!

FORD RANGER RAPTOR
Ford struck a gold mine when they turned the workhorse F150 pickup truck into the Raptor, appealing to those who wanted a truck that was fast, sounded great, looked like a Baja racer, and could handle going fast off-road like one. But in Europe, it has never really taken off, mainly due to it being the size of most family homes.
Raptor fans can be happy now though, as Ford has applied the same formula to the Ranger – jack up the suspension (and replace it with Fox Racing shocks), widen the front and rear track, add chunky tyres, and tweak the styling to look way more aggressive thanks to the wider arches.
Sadly it doesn’t get the Ecoboost engine we were all hoping for, but for now, we get a 210bhp 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine going through a 10spd auto gearbox. Yes, ten-speed! That gearbox can be controlled via paddles behind the steering wheel and there are six selectable driving modes including four for various off-road exploits.
Win this Mountune Focus RS m520 AND the Ranger Raptor for one week only in the BOTB Competition!
