Jaguar XF 3.0d S

Jaguar XF 3.0d S Airport

REVIEW

When Jaguar launched the XF in 2007 they finally had a proper rival for the BMW 5-Series, Audi A6 and Mercedes E-Class. 2011 brought arguably the most successful facelift ever, but the rivals had moved on so Jaguar had to respond, and that they did with the new XF. Weight is down by around 150kg thanks to extensive use of aluminium in the construction and the wheelbase is much longer, while there is now a clear family link to the XE in the styling. This 3.0d S model uses a V6 turbodiesel engine producing 296bhp, which is enough for 0-62mph in 5.8 seconds and a limited top speed of 155mph, combined with a staggering 50mpg. Add in one of the most stunningly designed interiors yet and you have the most complete saloon Jaguar has ever made…
