« Back Maserati MC20
Petrolheads the world over have been a little concerned about Maserati of late – the ageing GranTurismo was on sale for about 15yrs, and they seemed to be focusing on saloons and SUVs.
Then POW! Maserati are back! And in the best possible way – with a stunning supercar.
There are definite hints of the older MC12 supercar in the nose - which is no bad thing – but from there back it’s pure modern supercar design with swept back headlights, deeply scalloped sides and a stylish rear end with slim wide rear lights and powerful haunches over the rear wheels.
Sitting behind the driver is an all-new engine and though people may be disappointed that it isn’t a V8, this twin turbo 3.0 litre V6 is hardly lacking is power – 622bhp from that displacement is incredible, along with 730Nm of torque.
With extensive use of carbon, the MC20 weighs under 1500kg which means explosive performance is on offer – 2.8 seconds to 62mph, 8.8 seconds to 124mph and a top speed of 202mph.
This is a proper supercar, designed and built in Modena, with stunning styling and scintillating performance – everything you could want. It’s even got butterfly doors!
And you could win one for just £3.95 in this week’s BOTB Dream Car Competition!
Please note: This car does not come with any cash.
