Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet

Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet Airport

REVIEW

The Porsche 911 has throughout its history been about evolution rather than revolution. The shape has stayed broadly the same, as has the layout and the use of the flat-six engine. But there was a step-change with the 996 variant in 1998 when it went from air cooled to water cooled. Well now there’s been another change with the 991 Gen 2 as all the Carrera models now adopt a new 3.0 twin turbo flat-six engine. There are small exterior tweaks to keep it fresh, but the big news is that new engine. This Carrera S Cabriolet model now gets an incredible 416bhp which means 4.7 seconds to 62mph and a top speed of 190mph – incredible stats that aren’t too far off the previous 997 Turbo – while you can enjoy the new sound of the turbo engine with roof down in this Cabriolet version. The most complete sports car just got even better… ** Cash alternative: 80% of the ex-VAT UK RRP **
