Volkswagen is pushing ahead with electrifying its whole range by 2030, and after the ID.3 small hatch, we now have the ID.4 – a medium-sized SUV.
It may be about the same size as a Tiguan outside, but thanks to the clever packaging of a ground-up EV design, it’s as big as a Touareg inside. Styling-wise, it’s very VW, with sleek surfacing and inoffensive design. This is designed for people who want an EV to fit into their family life with as little disruption as possible.
To that end, this GTX Max model has a 77kWh battery which gives a fantastic 315 mile range, while the dual motors combine to give out 296bhp and 460Nm, which offers ample performance for a family SUV.
The interior is an ergonomic dream, as it is in all VWs, but with all that extra room.
