« Back Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duetto Classique
Founded by Antoine LeCoultre in 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the longest established watch houses in Switzerland. Jaeger-LeCoultre is well renowned for creating elegant timepieces with sophistication and fine attention to detail; they have created over a thousand in-house calibres from tourbillions to some of the world's smallest and complicated movements.
Jaeger-LeCoultre's relationship with polo is a long and inspired one. It began in the '30s. Polo-playing British colonial officers based in India, who regularly ended matches with broken watch faces, asked a watchmaking connoisseur friend if he knew anyone who could make a timepiece that would withstand the rigours of the sport. He turned the challenge over to his friend Jacques-David LeCoultre. The Reverso watch was born of this challenge, as was Jaeger-LeCoultre's unbreakable connection to polo and polo players.
This Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duetto Classique watch comes with a 34 mm 18ct rose gold case with a black 18ct rose gold strap with attached. The strap features a deployment buckle for added security. Sitting inside the case is the manual-wind movement which provides great accuracy and the white numbers dial which is protected by sapphire crystal glass. This timepiece is water resistant up to 30 metres
