We absolutely love the Mercedes C63 here at BOTB, with its great sounding V8 and punishing performance.
But with RWD and all that power it can be a little hairy in the wet, not to mention the fact that despite the downsized engine it still isn’t exactly what you could call frugal. So Mercedes has decided to implement a two-tier AMG strategy now with a new ’43 model joining the ’63 versions.
Out goes the V8 and in comes a 3.0 litre twin turbo V6 with 385bhp, along with their 4MATIC AWD system. The looks are halfway between the regular model and the full-fat C63 too, so you can fly under the radar fairly well, while doing a sub-5 second sprint to 62mph.
This may very well be the pick of the C-Class range and you could own one next week!
