« Back Nissan 370Z GT
Old school - that’s the best way to look at the 370Z GT. Modern sports cars have got far too complicated and reliant on turbochargers, driver assist and the like and have certainly lost something in translation.
The 370Z GT is a proper old school muscle coupe – big 3.7 litre V6 up front under that big bonnet (naturally aspirated of course) producing 323bhp, sending power to the rear wheels via a 6-spd manual gearbox.
Visually it still looks the part too, with the long nose, short rear overhang, a nice set of 19-inch alloys and bulging rear haunches. There’s no doubting this is a proper sports car when you see one in the metal, and they’re surprisingly compact on the road.
The interior may lack some of the latest tech but it’s got a clear layout and the ergonomics from the driver to the wheel and gear lever are spot on, with plenty of options as standard on this GT model.
It drives like a muscle car too, with plenty of oversteer on demand should you want it. Just a great fun sports car and you could win one for just £1.70 in the BOTB Midweek Car Competition!
