A Bristolian carpenter was shocked to find out he'd won a whopping £17,000 prize after entering an online competition on a whim. Callum Frowen scooped a luxury £7,000 watch and £10,000 in cash from online competitions company, BOTB.

Frowen was up working on a roof when he found out the news. BOTB presenter Christian Williams video-called the carpenter to give the news he'd won big as the Luxury Lifestyle Competition Winner. Bristolian, Frowen, had only spent 50p to enter the online competition. He won a Breitling Chronomat B01 42 worth £7,000 on top of the £10k cash prize. Up working on a roof at the time of finding out his win, carpenter Frowen was with a colleague that had actually encouraged him to enter the competition in the first place. He told BOTB presenter, Christian Williams, "He’s the one who told me to enter the competition [and] he’s actually just entered during our break - pick him next week will you?” In order to enter the competition, Frowen had to answer a skilled competition question. He was then randomly selected from all the correct entries. Asked what he'd spend the money on, Frowen said he'd have to consult the 'mrs'. He also said he'd probably invest the cash on home improvements.

BOTB was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has given away more than £48m worth of cars so far. Other recent competition winners have received quad bikes, holidays to Disney World and £15,000 in cash.
