Cleveleys man wins £9k motorbike prize {{favouriteCount}}

A Cleveleys man scooped a £9k motorbike in a UK-wide dream car competition.

Geoff Attwater, 65, won a new Yamaha XSR900 in a competition run by a car company Best of the Best, which has handed out £22m worth of supercars since it was founded in 1999.

Geoff, who works as an architect, said: "I'm just in complete shock, I can't believe my luck."

"I normally play in the weekly dream car competition but when I saw the chance to win a Yamaha XSR900 in the weekly cash competition I couldn't resist, and I'm glad I did."

He was handed the keys to his new set of wheels by surprise outside the Thornton Family Health Centre on Bretlands Road on Tuesday.

He said: " The bike is absolutely stunning and I can't wait to take it for a whizz somewhere nice. I'm already planning a trip up to the Lake District. I've always loved bikes, I got a scooter for my first 'bike' when I was 16."
