Coventry nurse wins £93,000 prize in surprise bank holiday giveaway {{favouriteCount}}

As Britain basked in record Bank Holiday temperatures, Coventry staff nurse Jacob Stephen had an extra reason to celebrate a scorcher of a day winning his dream car.

The 38-year-old was left dumbstruck after winning a Range Rover Sport P400 and £20,000 in cash from dream car giveaway company BOTB.

Jacob was handed the keys to the luxury motor worth £73,800 and £20,000 cash in BOTB’s trademark surprise while surrounded by his family.

The 38-year-old was lost for words when Christian Williams from BOTB turned up on his doorstep to deliver the good news.

“Wow, just wow, I really can’t believe I’ve won!” Said Jacob, who shared the memorable moment with his family after his wife had helped plan the surprise.

“I always play for a Range Rover, it’s my dream car. I’ve never even sat in one and I definitely didn't ever think I'd ever own one!”

BOTB was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has handed over the keys to more than £22m worth of supercars

“When I saw Christian I was so excited and overwhelmed by the news of winning the car, I completely forgot that I played to win the extra £20,000 cash,” laughed Jacob.

“I can’t believe my wife managed to keep this a secret, it’s some of the best news we’ve ever had. I don’t think we’ll ever have a better bank holiday Monday!”

Christian, who delivered the good news, said Jacob was a thoroughly worthy winner on a day full of sunshine and smiles.

“I have one of the best jobs in the world, handing people the keys to their dream car,” said Christian. “But it’s all the more magical when that experience is shared with family.

“The Range Rover Sport is a stunning piece of kit. Jacob will have plenty of fun driving his family around in it, particularly with the air conditioning on full blast to combat this heat!”
