Jordan Clark, from Liss, was preparing breakfast at home when he received a video call from BOTB presenter Christian Williams who surprised him with the news he had won a new MG 4 X-Power worth £36,495 alongside a £2,000 cash prize. He said: "I couldn’t believe it when Christian called me. I needed to sit down and I couldn’t get my words together.

“I was working from home and actually in the middle of making a smoothie as part of a very late breakfast.

“The whole experience was just surreal and I think I’ll be grinning from ear to ear for some time.”

The fully-electric MG 4 X-Power features a 62kWh battery, 429bhp and top speed of 124mph. Originally from South Africa, 27-year-old Jordan said he is considering taking the cash alternative. He said: “When my wife and I came over to the UK, we pretty much had nothing left. In our current circumstances, I think the money will mean more to us.

“We definitely need to go back on holiday to South Africa and do the typical tourist things like stay in a lodge and do sightseeing trips.” Jordan, who works as a complaint officer for a vehicle finance company, added: “I first played with BOTB in about 2019 and always thought winning was wishful thinking. I’m just so happy!”

BOTB hands over the keys to a stunning dream car each week as well as a lifestyle prize. Founded by William Hindmarch in 1999, it has given away £64m-worth of cars so far. Presenter Christian said: “Unlike a lot of people Jordan probably has to deal with in his day-to-do job who are probably quite angry, it was brilliant to be able to call him and actually give him some very good news.

“It’s an amazing car and I’m sure Jordan will love driving it if he decides to take it over the cash alternative. If not, it is a fantastic amount of money and I’m sure it will come in very handy.
