I won £500k on Lotto but my pizza job is just TOO good to give up – jackpot is 20 TIMES my salary but I won’t budge {{favouriteCount}} Quantity of Likes

Papa Johns worker Marius Preda, 28, hopped back on his bike the day after he banked the mammoth sum in a BOTB prize draw in Tamworth, Staffordshire. The Romanian's winning are twenty times what the dad-of-one earns in a year. Lucky Marius says he will use the money to buy a house and jet off for a foreign jaunt with wife Alina.

He said: “I’m going to take some time to think about it. But we would love to buy a new house and go on holiday.”

Marius has worked for the pizza chain since he arrived in the UK from Romania five years ago. Papa Johns pays delivery drivers around £12 per hour - which works out to £480 a week based on working 40 hours. Per year, that adds up to a salary of £24,960.

“I’m absolutely delighted to have won and am full of emotions,” he added:

“Winning this amount of money is life-changing and it’s going to take some time to sink in.”

A BOTB spokesperson said: “Marius, who has been working as a pizza delivery driver for about four years and was back at work the next day.

“He was also planning to spend the money on a new home for him and his family.”

BOTB presenter Christian Williams said: “A huge congratulations to Marius on winning this amazing cash prize in our biggest-ever competition giveaway.

“We’re always looking at new ways to give people the chance to win some fantastic prizes, and it was great to be able to surprise Marius in the way we did.

“I know how hard it is for a lot of people at the moment and £500,000 is a life-changing amount of money.

“It has got to be the best tip any delivery driver has ever received.”

BOTB shells out prizes every week, including holidays, Rolex watches, cars and motorbikes. Since launching the firm founded by William Hindmarch, in 1999, the online competition has seen £53million worth of cars given away.
