Daniel Harkin-Jones, 17, managed to bag himself the top-of-the-range motor after entering an online competition. The lad from Jarrow, south Tyneside, was "utterly shell-shocked" when he found out he was the lucky winner of a brand new Range Rover Kahn Velar P400. However, his excitement was short lived and quickly turned into frustration when he remembered he hadn't passed his driving test.

Once he's secured his license in a "couple of months", Daniel is planning to trade in his Vauxhall Corsa for the swanky car. The Amazon worker said: "The win hasn’t quite sunk in yet. "I’ve told a few of my mates but they can’t quite believe it either.

"Looks like my Vauxhall Corsa will have to go!"

Christian Williams, presenter for the competition BOTB Dream Car, turned up at Daniel's family home and handed him the keys last week. But the Range has been sat on the drive ever since. Christian said: "He was completely and utterly shell-shocked.

“You could tell it was a real bolt from the blue.

"He’s a racing nut so no wonder he chose this car - just a shame it’s going to be a while before he can put it through its paces." The Range Rover has a three-litre engine and is packed with extras such as two carbon-fibre spoilers and 23-inch wheels. It boasts a top speed of 155mph and a 0-60mph of 5.6 seconds.
