A SOUTHEND man was left in disbelief after he was surprised at work with his “dream car” worth a whopping £109,000.

Kevin Domingo, from Southend, won a Land Rover Defender 90 V8 as part of an online competition run by BOTB, a specialist in dream car competitions.

The car, featuring a supercharged engine, 518bhp, and a top speed of 149mph, was parked outside Domingo’s office as a surprise.

Mr Domingo said: “It is absolutely insane and I did not expect this.

“If you don’t take a chance, nothing good will happen.

“I love the style of the car because it is very close to what the original was.”

BOTB presenter, Christian Williams, surprised the unsuspecting winner at his workplace.

Mr Williams said: “A massive congratulations to Kevin for winning this fantastic car, which is an absolute monster with over 500bhp and a masterpiece on the outside and inside.

“When we found out where he works, we decided to go and surprise him and was hoping he would be in the office.

“I am so glad he was because he clearly didn’t have a clue what was going on and his reaction when he walked outside and saw the car was brilliant.”

BOTB, established by William Hindmarch in 1999, gives away a dream car and a lifestyle prize each week.

The company has awarded £67million worth of cars to date.

Two other recent competitions by BOTB were won by south Essex residents too.

In March, Bryony Dell, from Shoebury, won a £10,000 cash prize and a £5,395 Spitfire experience.

In December, Daniela Patru, from Tilbury, won a £30,000 dream wedding.
