A Stafford petrolhead was left speechless when he was told that he'd won a £60,000 car.

Self-confessed car fan Chris Sleight had been playing Best of the Best (BOTB) spot the ball competition for some time in a bid to win an Audi.

And last week he had the shock of his life when BOTB representatives arrived at his home in Pearl Brook with a car in tow.

Chris, 49, a long distance lorry driver, said: "I just can't believe it. I have always loved cars and started playing BOTB in January this year. I started doing quite well so knew I knew I had to just keep going and maybe one day I would win. I was a bit worried when my wife said there was a strange man at the door and then I recognised Christian from BOTB's videos. I am a petrolhead. I'm a careful driver but I do love to feel the power under my foot. This Audi is unbelievable. I just can't believe I've won.

Chris' wife Alison Sleight and daughters Jodie and Linsey were there to watch the surprise.

Alison added: "I always used to say to him I don't know why you're wasting your time playing that game. Then I had a phone call the day before they came to surprise him saying that he'd won and could I make sure he was in so they could come and surprise him. I had to keep it a secret which was really hard."
