A mum from Leicestershire was reduced to tears after she won a £25,000 cash prize. Nish Ganatra, from Melton, who recently gave birth to her second child, said she “just cried and cried” when she found out she had won a prize in BOTB’s Instant Wins Competition.

The 36-year-old said she bought 10 tickets, and was successful with the last one. Nish, who works for a civil engineering firm, said the tax-free cash would make her maternity leave “so much more comfortable”.

“I watch the videos of all the other winners and thought that would be me one day,” she said. "I’ve won a few things before, like a Samsung TV, with BOTB and a small amount of money in the lottery, but nothing like this."

After learning about her success, Nish was out for dinner in Birmingham to celebrate that and her husband’s birthday when she was called by BOTB presenter Christian Williams, who asked how she had reacted upon hearing the news. “When I found out I just cried and cried," Nish said.

"I had already booked a restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday, so when I found out I had won earlier that day, it was just the cherry on top and gave us an excuse to enjoy a couple more drinks.” Nish said she was hoping to use the money for a trip to India to see family.

Car giveaway company BOTB offers entrants the chance to win a dream car every week. Founded by William Hindmarch in 1999, BOTB has given away £69 million worth of cars so far, according to a spokesperson. Ticket holders can also win cash and lifestyle prizes.
