Norfolk man wins Porsche Macan GTS and £2,000 in competition
A father-of-three from Norfolk has won a Porsche as part of a car and cash prize bundle.
James Metcalf, from Stowbridge, won the £75,000 Porsche Macan GTS and £2,000 cash courtesy of BOTB’s online competition.
The 64-year-old was working from home when he received a video call from BOTB presenter Christian Williams who let him know the good news.
In response to the win, Mr Metcalf said: "Are you serious?
"I'm a bit numb at the moment," he said. "I’m so shocked and excited."
The family man admitted that the Porsche model is "one he has always wanted".
The high-performance car features a powerful V6 twin-turbo engine and can reach a top speed of 169mph.
Despite his love of cars, the £77,000 cash alternative was very tempting.
"I have two cars already and I’d absolutely adore the Porsche, but my conscience is telling me I have to take the money," he added.
"There’s no shortage of things that will benefit massively from this.
"Timing wise, this couldn’t be better – we’re about to put our house on the market and move house.
"This is what BOTB is all about."
