Seven Kings man’s amazing reaction as he’s handed the keys to £68k BMW {{favouriteCount}} Quantity of Likes

A man from Seven Kings was left speechless after winning a £68k BMW in a car giveaway competition.

Lucky Bamidele Johnson is celebrating after learning this morning that his dream had come true and he had won a BMW X6 M50d – worth a staggering £68,000.

Bamidele claimed the incredible prize after buying a single ticket at £17 for a long running car competition in Westfield last week.

It was a Halloween treat for the dad-of-one who was working from home after being told to expect a package to be delivered that morning.

After opening his front door to find radio presenter Christian Williams from Best Of The Best (BOTB), the 43-year-old was overwhelmed with shock, tears and laughter as he realised he had won his dream car.

He said: “This is my dream, I’m over the moon.

“I really can’t believe it, I didn’t expect this at all.”

The dad-of-one, who currently drives a Ford Fiesta, had bought a ticket last Monday afternoon after taking pity on the man selling the raffle tickets in Westfield.

He said: “I decided to buy one because I wanted to do the guy a favour!

“I work in marketing and I know its commission based so I decided to buy a ticket but didn’t think anything about it!”

The raffle sees BOTB give away a supercar every week with contestants choosing their dream vehicle from more than 180 models and paying £3 or more for a ticket.

Then the company asks contestants to spot the ball from a picture of a football game with the nearest – as deemed by a panel of sporting experts – taking home the prize.

Within minutes of popping a bottle of champagne, Bamidele was wondering if he could wait until his wife, Veronica, a social worker, had finished for the day.

He said: “She won’t believe it. I don’t believe it!

“Just a week ago, I bought a ticket and now I own a BMW, which I have always wanted to do.”

BOTB was founded in 1999 and has handed over the keys to more than £22m worth of supercars.
