A sound engineer who has struggled to get a job during the coronavirus pandemic couldn't believe his eyes when he won a £195,000 Lamborghini and £20,000 cash.

Unemployed Shibu Paul, 32, moved to the UK from India a year ago to marry his wife Linnet Joseph, 28, who is a nurse at Nottingham's City Hospital.

When the coronavirus pandemic hit the UK, he struggled to get a job and was even emailing companies on Tuesday, July 7, before there was a knock at his door.

It was the BOTB Dream Car competition team who told the 32-year-old he had won a brand new £195,000 Lamborghini Urus.
It was waiting for him on his drive, ready to replace his Toyoto Yaris, but the surprise didn't stop there.

In the boot of the car was £20,000 in cash and a bottle of bubbly.
Best of the Best (BOTB) is a dream car and lifestyle competition company that has been operating in airports since 1999 and runs online competitions.

Mr Paul thought it was a practical joke when the team knocked on his door at 11am.

As soon as he got behind the wheel, he shouted: "I'm the king" before hugging his wife on the forecourt of their home in Gilbert Close in Arnold.

He told Nottinghamshire Live: "I never expected this. For the last year we were in Cambridge and then moved here. Because of the coronavirus it has been difficult to get a job.

"I have been searching for a job and this morning I was sending emails and then this came.

"I don't know what to say. I have never touched a Lamborghini let alone sat in one."

He said they had no idea what they will spend the money on, but that it will certainly give them security for the future.

Mrs Joseph said: "I just got back from night duty and I was sleeping. We never expected this. We do not usually play this and we never expected to win.

"That's why he had time to play (the competition)," she laughed.

"We are renting at the moment here so we could buy a house. We don't know what we are going to do," she added.

The car was delivered by Lamborghini Leicester, and Christian Williams, Virgin radio presenter and BOTB presenter gave the couple the keys.

He said: "To see the look on his face makes what we do so worthwhile.

"He is a lovely man and they are a lovely couple. The look of shock before joy was the cherry on the cake for me.

"It is his birthday this month and he has won a Lamborghini and £20,000 in cash."
