He had given himself a six month deadline to win, and it was the last week he would enter the competition.

A Devon man says that ‘all his dreams have come true’ and he wins a supercar and £20,000 cash.

Entrepreneur Akhtar Rahman won the dream car competition; BOTB’s biggest ever prize.

Akhtar was left speechless when BOTB knocked on his hotel door to reveal he had won a Bentley Continental GT W12 worth £156,000 plus £20,000 cash.

“I’m still in complete shock, I can’t believe my luck,” said Akhtar who had to pinch BOTB’s CEO William Hindmarch to make sure it wasn’t a dream.

After discovering BOTB on YouTube in June 2017, Akhtar gave himself a six month deadline to win. “This week was the last week I was allowing myself to play, talk about the luckiest week of my life.”

BOTB was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has handed over the keys to more than £22m worth of supercars.

Listed on the stock market, BOTB has high-profile stands at airports and in Britain’s biggest shopping centres, with 75 per cent of all people playing online at botb.com.

As a self-proclaimed petrol head, Akhtar explained how he only played for the once in a lifetime supercars.

“I always played for the most expensive supercars, being able to own one is such a unique opportunity.”

His tips for other people playing were to be patient, don’t give up and make sure you invest in a good ruler.

“My wife laughed at me every week, trying my luck with rulers and protractors. But it proves there was method to my madness,” joked Akhtar.

William Hindmarch, founder and CEO of BOTB, was delighted to surprise Akhtar with his dream car.

“Handing people the keys to their dream cars for over 20 years is the best job in the world,” said William. “But surprising Akhtar with our biggest ever prize was such a special and landmark achievement for BOTB. And what a car to give away!”
