Ford F150 Raptor

Ford F150 Raptor

REVIEW

This week sees a couple of extreme vehicles added in, but this one is probably the king – the Ford F150 Raptor. This is a huge vehicle, make no mistake – it’ll dwarf any car sold in the UK that’s for certain. The Raptor is designed to be a seriously capable off-road desert running 4x4, with expensive shocks and dampers, big wheels and tyres and lots of clever trickery to help out. This 2017 Raptor is a victim of downsizing though, with the old V8 replaced with a 3.5 litre Ecoboost twin turbo V6 – power is up to 450bhp though, with loads of torque and a noise not unlike the Jag F-Type V6. What you have is a monster vehicle that will go, stop, steer and sound like a desert racer but inside is comfy, full of tech and can be driven daily (if you have the space!).

Note: The Ford F150 Raptor is supplied as a LHD import. There is a RHD conversion available for an additional £20,000 but this would be at the winner's cost.
