Named like the 70’s muscle car icon, the 2021 Mach 1 uses the 5.0 litre V8 GT as its base, but adds a whole lot of Shelby goodness into the mix, to make a performance car bargain.
That big V8 has the Shelby GT350’s open air induction system along with an Active Valve Performance Exhaust which helps it breathe. The result is 454bhp and 529Nm and a V8 bellow that will make your ears cry.
A 6spd manual ‘box is standard, or you can option a 10spd auto, but frankly you should be getting your V8 RWD Mach 1 in manual flavour or you’re not doing it right.
Visually the Mach 1 gets a new front end with bigger intakes, a more aggressive grille, graphics on the bonnet and sides, a small lip spoiler and a new diffuser to house the four 4.5-inch exhaust tips. There are also some unique colours you can choose from.
