The Hymer Grand Canyon Crossover was a hugely popular camper here at BOTB, but sadly they no longer make it – but they do make this new upgraded model – the Grand Canyon S CrossOver!
This time the CrossOver is based on the Mercedes Sprinter van, which is not only more powerful and torquey with the 3.0 litre V6 diesel engine but looks better, drives better and has a nicer driving cabin too. Oh, and this time it’s a proper go-anywhere camper, as the new S has got full-time AWD as standard.
The outside looks great in black with green graphics and black wheels, but the inside is the real treat. With a fully kitted-out kitchen, including a two burner cooker, fridge, sink, dining table and seating, you’re set to cook whatever you want, while there’s also a toilet and shower to bring those life comforts with you.
Speaking of comforts, the full size double bed will allow you to have a great night’s sleep wherever you may park up – and that’s the beauty of the new Grand Canyon S CrossOver – it can go anywhere with raised ground clearance, AWD and chunky off-road tyres.
