Win a Land Rover Defender!

Well, here it is – the reinvention of an icon. The all-new Defender!

Alongside the Aston Martin Vantage, this must have been one of the most complex design jobs in the business – replace one of the most iconic cars on the roads today, one that dates back decades and has recently had a resurgence thanks to the rugged cool looks. But you couldn’t go too retro, or people would say it isn’t modern, so there are certainly nods to the old Defender, but it’s a fresh design that sits nicely in the Land Rover lineup.

Chunky wheelarches, the signature floating roof with ‘Alpine windows’ on the top, a dominating grille and big chunky tyres so you can drive over anything.

Inside, it's far more modern, full of the latest tech, but it still has a reassuringly old school feel to the layout. Being the 110 model, this Defender has five doors and plenty of room. At the same time, X-Dynamic SE spec brings Premium LED headlights, 20-inch alloys, keyless entry, Meridien sound system, and many driver assist programs you’d get bored of the acronyms.

Though, this is the Defender that we've all been waiting for - the P300e plug-in hybrid. That means it has a 2.0-litre petrol engine, supplemented by an electric motor with a 19.2kWh battery - 296bhp and 625Nm of torque. That gives the dream combination of excellent performance - 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds and a real-world economy of over 100mpg. It can even travel 30 miles on electric power alone - so you can drive your chunky 4x4 into a big city with a clear conscience.

This has to be the best all-round Defender we've offered in the competition yet.

If you can’t wait to get behind the wheel and try it out, enter the BOTB competition today!
