LAND ROVER DEFENDER 110 X-DYNAMIC SE P400E
Well, here it is – the reinvention of an icon. The all-new Defender!
Alongside the Aston Martin Vantage, this must have been one of the hardest design jobs in the business – replace one of the most iconic cars on the roads today, one that dates back decades and has in recent times had a resurgence thanks to the rugged cool looks. But you couldn’t go too retro or people would say it isn’t modern, so there are certainly nods to the old Defender, but it’s a fresh design that sits well in the Land Rover lineup.
Chunky wheelarches, the signature floating roof with ‘Alpine windows’ in the top, a dominating grille and big chunky tyres so you can drive over anything.
Inside it's far more modern, full of the latest tech, but it still has a reassuringly old school feel to the layout. Being the 110 model, this Defender has 5 doors and plenty of room inside, while X-Dynamic SE spec brings Premium LED headlights, 20-inch alloys, keyless entry, Meridien sound system and so many driver assist programs you’d get bored of the acronyms.
This is the Defender that we've all been waiting for though - the P400e plug-in hybrid. That means it has a 2.0 litre petrol engine producing 296bhp, supplemented by an electric motor with a 19.2kWh battery - giving a total of 400bhp and 640Nm of torque. That gives the dream combination of great performance - 0-62mph in 5.6 seconds, along with real-world economy of 82.4mpg. It can even travel 27 miles on electric power alone - so you can drive your chunky 4x4 into a big city with a clear conscience.
This has to be the best all-round Defender we've offered in the competition yet.

PORSCHE 911 CARRERA
Well here it is – the all-new 8th Generation Porsche 911. No really, we promise it’s the new one!
As is always the case with Porsche’s 911, it’s a case of evolution rather than revolution so we have a car that to the casual observer looks almost identical to the previous 911, but is comprehensively improved in every area. As seems to be the trend, the new 911 grows – the wheelbase in longer and crucially all 911’s now have the wide body previously reserved for the 4WD models.
But power is also up across the board, with this base Carrera model’s 3.0 litre turbocharged flat-six now producing 380bhp and 450Nm – that’s enough for 0-62mph in just 4.2 seconds or 4.0 seconds if you choose the Sport Chrono option.
There’s a whole host of new tech for the revised interior too, but basically this is New 911 just as it always was – pretty much the best all-round sports car on sale today.
Refined, great handling, fast, practical and fantastic to look at with a badge that has 70yrs of history behind it - and you could win one!
This car comes with £50,000 cash included in the price of your ticket.
