There aren’t many more iconic car names than the 911 Turbo. Sitting at the top of the 911 tree since the 1970s, the Turbo has always meant epic performance and wild looks. Since the 991.2, all 911s have been turbocharged, though (GT aside, of course)...so does the Turbo lose its appeal?
No way! This is the new 992 generation 911, and once again, they’ve destroyed the competition without even turning a wheel – this Turbo is the perfect do-everything supercar. There's the same 2+2 seating and front boot, so practicality is excellent, plus there’s still AWD so you can use it in all types of weather.
But now under that rear engine cover sits an all-new 3.7 litre flat-six twin-turbo lump which produces a staggering 572bhp and 750Nm of torque – that may be a bit down on the bonkers Turbo S, but it’s still 39bhp and 50Nm more than the old Turbo which isn’t to be sniffed at!
With its excellent PDK gearbox and AWD system, the Turbo can hit 62mph in a staggering 2.8 seconds on the way to a 199mph top speed - incredible.
