« Back Porsche Boxster 25 Years
It’s hard to believe that it’s 25 years since we first saw the Boxster appear in Porsche’s lineup. A small convertible sports car that instantly took over the market and became Porsche’s best selling model.
But a quarter-century has passed, so Porsche has decided to give us a special edition now, called (unsurprisingly) the Boxster 25 Years.
Thankfully this Boxster is based on the best car in the range – the GTS 4.0 – so it shares that car’s 4.0 litre flat six, producing 395bhp and 420Nm of torque, linked to a wonderful six-speed manual gearbox or the stunning optional PDK dual-clutch gearbox.
The 25 Years model is all about the looks though, with a choice of metallic white, black or the beautiful GT Silver, with a black or red interior and roof. GT Silver and red interior is the classic combo, seen on Porsche roadsters for many years.
The exterior parts like the front intake blade, side intakes and special design of alloy wheels all come in a gorgeous satin gold colour, while there are lots of standard tech items like LED headlights, Sport Chrono Package, PASM active dampers and a sports exhaust.
This Boxster 25 Years really does get everything you could want in an open top sports car, get one while you can in this week’s BOTB Dream Car Competition!
