Toyota Supra

Toyota Supra

REVIEW

The Toyota Supra had been a pretty impressive performer in the global sports car market throughout the 80’s and early 90’s, but it was 1992 when everything changed – that was the year that Toyota launched the A80 Supra. With styling that made contemporary Ferraris look angular and dated, the Supra was an instant hit thanks to those looks combined with exceptional handling, epic performance from the legendary 326bhp twin turbo 2JZ straight-six engine and Toyota reliability. It hit 62mph in under 5 seconds all while accompanied by a glorious soundtrack. It was later in the early 2000’s that the A80 Supra gained a new following though thanks to the Fast & Furious films. The 2JZ was an incredibly strong engine and could very easily handle tuning up to 600bhp and beyond while still being reliable. An unfettered manual twin turbo is a rare thing these days, but that’s what we’re offering here. A legend for only £1.75…
