Win a Volkswagen Golf GTI
Volkswagen Golf GTI Prize
It seems like only yesterday the Mk8 Golf was revealed, but we already have the facelifted Mk8.5 Golf GTI—an everyday car that delivers excitement when you want it!
The basics are the same, but there have been improvements in pretty much every area. To start with, the 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cyl engine has been turned up to 261bhp, which drops the 0-62mph time to 6.0 seconds. Outside, there are new Matrix IQ LED headlights, a reprofiled front bumper, and some new wheel designs.
The biggest changes are inside, with the best being a new steering wheel with actual buttons rather than the unpopular haptic touch buttons of the Mk8. There’s also a new, larger infotainment screen, new seats, and additional tech with ChatGPT incorporated!
All in all, these welcome changes to the Golf GTI are intended to make the best all-around hot hatch even hotter!
