Volkswagen has been selling a big MPV for years, with the Touran, Sharan and the Transporter-based Caravelle, but now all of those have been replaced by the new T7 Multivan. The T6.1 van will continue to be made as a van, camper etc., but for the stylish moving of people around, Multivan is the way now.

It also comes with the new VW Group hybrid system, a 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol engine paired up with a 13kWh battery and a motor to give a combined 215bhp and 250Nm of torque. This means you can go around on battery power only for about 30 miles, more than enough for city driving. The hybrid means it also gets a crazy 154mpg on the WLTP cycle.
