The new EV revolution has certainly brought us a lot of new car manufacturers, be they from China, Korea, Japan or now – the USA with Fisker, Inc.
Started by renowned car designer Henrik Fisker, the latest Fisker car company is all about EVs and has a bold plan for a full range of cars, but the first to hit the road is the impressive Ocean.
A medium sized SUV (think Tesla Model Y size) with bold, exciting styling, it certainly stands out from the crowd with its sleek roofline and massive wheels. Even the base offering has 20-inch alloys, 22-inch is optional.
Being a US brand there are some cool features too, like the option for a full length solar roof panel that can add up to 1500 miles of free motoring per year. There’s also ‘California Mode’ where at the press of a button all the windows, including the rear side panel ones AND the rear tailgate glass all drop, giving you the closest thing to open air motoring you can get.
This Ocean Extreme model gets all the best bits too, so there are twin motors producing 563bhp, which being AWD means 0-62mph in dealt with in 3.9 seconds. Plus it has a massive 106kWh battery, which gives an enormous WLTP range of 440 miles. Zero range anxiety with this EV!
