Ali Choudhry from Coventry was out grocery shopping, so he was entirely caught off guard when Christian video-called him to reveal that, as this week's lucky Lifestyle winner, he had bagged himself the fantastic PlayStation 5 gaming bundle worth over £4,000. No wonder he was lost for words!

A delighted Ali then explained that he's an avid gamer and now can't wait to get his hands on the brand new console. Alongside it, he's also scooped a top-spec TV, high-end gaming chair, and enough controllers and accessories to get the whole family involved – huge congrats!

BOTB winner nets £4k prize while shopping in Coventry Tesco

Mar 2021

A routine shopping trip to Tesco turned into an unforgettable moment for one Coventry man - who found out that he had won a major prize while doing his shopping.

Ali Choudhry from Bannerbrook was filling his trolley in the city supermarket, when he received a telephone call from competitions company BOTB, who informed him that he had netted prize haul worth £4,000.

The 35-year-old was informed by company spokesperson Christian Williams that he had won the Luxury Lifestyle Competition.

All told, Ali won a PS5 console, 65” 4K Ultra HD OLED Smart TV, a high-end gaming chair and an abundance of controllers and accessories.

Having paid 25 pence for a ticket, Ali said: "“I knew exactly who Christian was as soon as I saw his face pop up on my phone, I’ve been playing BOTB for a few months now and always watch the winner’s videos.

"I just can’t believe this has happened to me, I’m a huge gamer, and when I saw this prize on the BOTB website, I knew I had to give it a go - I never expected to win. Just in time for my birthday, too, what perfect timing.

"“I’ve been trying to buy a PS5 for a while but haven’t been able to get one, they’re really hard to find."

According to a BOTB spokesperson, other recent prizes have included a quad bike, a Harley Davidson, and a holiday to Las Vegas.

Each week, two cars, and a lifestyle prize, are given away.

BOTB's Christian Williams said: "Ali has played for an amazing prize - it really is any gamer’s dream and I’m sure he’s going to have a fantastic time when it all arrives. Massive congratulations again.”
