Dream Car competition winner & results Lutfi Burniki - Tesla Model S Ludicrous Performance + £20k 23 - 29 Dec Week 52 2019

CLOSE X

A LUDICROUS END TO THE YEAR!

Lutfi Burniki’s 2019 has ended in the best possible way – with a new £93,000 car! Croydon-based taxi driver Lutfi plays for the Tesla Model S most weeks as there’s no congestion charge to pay for it – handy for his frequent trips into London! And he’ll be driving around a little faster than usual with this Ludicrous Performance model, which hits 62mph in just 2.7 seconds – in his words: “just like a Bugatti!”

Lutfi’s wife and kids were on hand to enjoy the surprise with him earlier today and the whole family broke into even bigger smiles when Christian also revealed £20,000 cash in the boot – the ultimate late Christmas present for them all. The Burnikis are sure to be seeing in the New Year in style – huge congratulations!

Croydon man “shocked” after he wins £90k car

Jan 2020

A Croydon taxi driver has upgraded his wheels in time for the new decade thanks to dream car competition, BOTB.

Lufti Burniki was speechless when he opened his front door to BOTB presenter Christian who surprised him with a brand-new Tesla worth more than £93k.

“I was so shocked, I had absolutely no idea, my wife didn’t let on at all. I was packing for my holiday when the doorbell went, I assumed it was just the postman or something, but then I saw Christian.”

The 44-year-old was packing his bags at the time ready for a new year getaway to visit his sister in Belgium.

“I am a taxi driver in London so I wanted a new car which was nice but also had low emissions, so the Tesla was just perfect,” Lufti added.

“However, I’ve now decided it’s far too nice to use as my taxi so instead I will use it for myself and family for the first year or so.”

Originally born in Kosovo, Lufti moved to the UK more than 20 years ago where he lives with his wife, Valjeta, 41, and two children, Beni, 14, and Yllka, 12.
