Reading entrepreneur bags £25,000 cash prize in BOTB competition

Aug 2024

A holidaymaker from Reading struck gold in a virtual competition while in Turkey, bagging an unexpected £25,000.

Kristina Grosikova received the glorious news via a video call from Best of the Best (BOTB) host Will Cozens during the company's 48-hour Lifestyle Competition.

The 27-year-old entrepreneur said: "I can't quite believe I have won, but it feels amazing."

Kristina admitted her boyfriend had been sceptical about her chances: "My boyfriend didn't think I would win, but I told him one day I would, and I had a good feeling when I entered."

Kristina, who runs her own cleaning business, has previously enjoyed minor wins with BOTB over her two-year association, but the recent windfall beats all records.

Revealing her plan, she said: "This will help so much, and I'm going to spend it wisely.

"I'm going to pay off some bills, help my family out, replace my old Ford Fiesta, and invest some."

Presenting the cash prize, Will shared his excitement: "It was fantastic to be able to surprise Kristina with such amazing news while she was on holiday.

"She was clearly overjoyed, and now has lots of cash to be able to treat herself and her family."

BOTB, famous for handing over the keys to a dream car each week, was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999.

To date, it has given away £68m-worth of cars alongside the lifestyle prizes.
