When Aston Martin replaced the Vantage in 2018 it was a seriously hard job, one that many argued they got wrong. But now the Vantage has been seriously upgraded and the 911 Turbo had better watch its back!
Styling-wise, the new Vantage has taken the headlight style from the DB12 and grafted it to the front end of the limited run V12 Vantage, so there’s a larger grille along with massively wider front arches which is seriously reminiscent of the One-77. The rear arches are similarly wider and there are some new vents at the rear along with the gorgeous sculpted duck-tail spoiler from before.
Many thought that 500bhp was too much for the entry-level Aston, well clearly Aston didn’t because in this Vantage the 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 has been turned up to a staggering 656bhp and 800Nm of torque – that’s enough for 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 202mph! There are also a whole host of changes to the suspension and gearbox to make this the most thrilling Vantage ever to drive.
The interior was arguably the least successful part of the old car, so now the Vantage takes the new dash and infotainment system from the DB12 and it works incredibly well. Add in the carbon bucket seats and this is an interior worthy of the price tag and more.
