The M135i is dead… long live the M135! You won't see an i on the back of a non-EV BMW now, so we just have the new M135!
Though technically a facelift, BMW calls this an all-new M135 as there are so many changes from the old model. The front end adopts a sleeker look with new headlights and a slimmer front grille, while at the back there are new tail lights and a quad exhaust.
Overall the new M135 is still aggressive and sporty but certainly a little more grown up in style. Inside gets a major upgrade with the new iDrive9 infotainment system, where every major control is now on the super-wide touchscreen.
Power is actually down slightly over the previous generation thanks to new emissions regulations, but there’s still 296bhp and 400Nm, which will get you to 62mph in under 5 seconds thanks to the standard AWD xDrive system.
BMW promises this M135 is the most fun hot hatch they’ve ever made too, we can’t wait to get behind the wheel!
