It's matchday! And what better way to celebrate than with a Matchday Exclusive! Thursday's entry, the Ferrari Roma!

A collective sigh was heard around the BOTB office when Ferrari announced they were discontinuing the Roma, so we thought what better car to bring back… for one day only!

Sometimes a car comes along that makes you stop what you’re doing, put your coffee down and just stare at your screen, saying ‘Wow’.

That’s certainly what happened with anyone with a pulse when this brand new Ferrari was revealed – the Roma. Using the Portofino as its base, the Roma is a grand tourer in the mold of classic Ferraris of yesterday with a long bonnet, short rear and glorious, smooth classy styling. It’s simultaneously modern and retro, striking a perfect balance.

The nose has sleek headlights and a heavily contoured bonnet flanked by swollen front wings, while the grille is a modern take on the classic grille found on 60’s Ferrari GT cars. At the rear there aren’t round tail lights for a change, now having slimmer LED units like those on the SF90 Stradale. Under that long bonnet sits a reworked version of the 3.9 litre twin turbo V8 seen in the 488, here producing 612bhp and 760Nm of torque, with performance to match those numbers.

0-62mph in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of over 200mph will certainly get you somewhere in a hurry. Add in the big boot and the ‘2+’ seating (meaning a small child can fit in there, not much else) and you’ve got a stunning, fast, practical Ferrari that is likely to be seriously fun to drive too!

And you could win one here in the BOTB Dream Car Competition!
