« Back Hyundai Ioniq5 Ultimate 305
Well this is a great looking Golf-sized EV isn’t it? Actually no, your eyes are deceiving you. Or rather Hyundai’s design department are deceiving you, as this new Ioniq5 isn’t a Golf sized car, it’s actually the same size as a Jaguar I-Pace!
That’s some wizard-level styling mojo, but it goes along with the fact that this Ioniq5 is a seriously good looking EV SUV (SU-EV?). With clean, modern styling, it’s fresh and stylish without the old blobby EV look of the past. There are more creases and sharp lines than in a technical drawing class, with some really neat touches like the lens aperture-style cuts on the wheelarch trims that actually aid with aerodynamics.
The interior is a masterpiece in simple, clean design as well with the usual twin big screen setup integrated into a light, airy cabin. Being a ground-up EV design there is a huge amount of space too.
This is as good as it gets for an Ioniq5 – the Ultimate spec ticks every box (the only option is what paint colour you choose) and this has the biggest 73kWh battery which equates to a WLTP range of 267 miles. Performance is brisk too thanks to the combined 302bhp of the dual motors (making this AWD), with the 0-62mph sprint taking just 5.2 seconds.
With the fantastic styling, great performance and ample range the Ioniq5 is going to be a great choice for anyone looking for an electric family SUV.
And you can win one in the BOTB Dream Car Competition!
