It uses a great sounding 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine combined with a 21.8kWh battery and an electric motor to make this a plug-in hybrid. That means a staggering 577bhp and 750Nm of torque – enough to get this estate to 62mph in just over 4 seconds!
But thanks to that battery you can also do 60 miles on EV power alone, which means you can cruise around town silently, or use all the extra power for crushing in-gear acceleration!
We've chosen this E53 Premium Plus Night Edition as well, which means that pretty much everything is added as standard - you get gorgeous 20-inch twin-five spoke alloys, panoramic roof, Burmester sound system, Digital Light LED headlights, 360-degree camera and the AMG Night Package which replaces all the chrome trim with matte black. Stealthy.
