The Cayenne has always impressed with Porsche style, SUV practicality and sports car performance. But Porsche also leads the way in EV and hybrid tech, so the latest Cayenne e-Hybrid also appeals to those who don't want a snarling V8.
Using the latest hybrid system first seen in the Panamera, it’s mated to a 3.0 V6 petrol engine, which makes a rather attractive sounding 466bhp and 650Nm of torque. That means you can sprint to 62mph in under 5 seconds, but should you want to, it can return a staggering 188mpg. Yes, you read those numbers correctly! Thanks to a chunky 21.8kWh battery, it can run on EV power alone for over 50 miles, so in reality, when you're driving this Porsche, you most of the time won't even trouble the petrol engine.
The latest facelift brings a slightly tweaked, more aggressive and angular exterior. Still, the significant changes come to the interior with a completely new dash with a huge screen, digital driver display and the option of a passenger display too.
Being a Cayenne, it handles incredibly well for something of its size and is supremely comfortable and practical. Quite something, then!
