« Back Range Rover Urban Velar P300
When Land Rover revealed the new Range Rover Velar, it was met with universal praise, with people loving the sleeker new looks, slightly smaller size and amazing new interior. The engine choice was a hit too, featuring JLR's range of 'Ingenium' diesel and petrol 4cyl turbo powerplants, topping out with a rather impressive V6 from the Jag F-Type. But as extensive as Range Rover’s options list is, some want their Velar to be more unique, more aggressive and more looking like Darth Vader’s daily driver – so step forward the Urban Automotive Velar P300. It’s got the 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine with 296bhp just like the standard car, and has the same awesome interior, but outside the boys at Urban have turned this school-run special into an aggressive beast that will scare small children from half a mile away. The front bumper is extended down and features a carbon fibre grille, larger carbon air intakes and a carbon splitter, while there’s more carbon fibre optionally available for the side strakes and bonnet vents. At the rear there’s a carbon diffuser and Urban’s active exhaust system, while it sits on Urban’s 23” alloy wheels. If there’s a more imposing looking luxury SUV available today, we’ve yet to see it.
