Based on the Transporter, the VW California Ocean adds an electro-hydraulic lifting roof to allow sleeping for four, while there’s a two-burner hob, fridge, sink and pop-up table to accommodate your camping needs. So what you end up with is a versatile camper that can be used daily, with four spacious seats, but then turns into a fully kitted out camper when you want.
There’s also a pull-out awning at the side so you can have some shade from the sun when you're parked up– it does do everything.
This is the highest spec California you can get, too, with a 201bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine with a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
