Volvo has been on a roll lately, with each new model looking better and more stylish than the last.
The XC90 is one of the most popular large SUVs on sale, so we were excited to hear they were replacing the mid-sized XC60. And we were right to be, as the new XC60 is everything we want a mid-sized SUV to be – stylish, economical, fast and high quality.
The exterior takes the XC90’s look and adds a lot of sportiness and aggression, while the interior is, in our view, the best of any car on sale today. It’s stunning, from the portrait centre console screen to the 3D wood trim.
And this T8 has some more tricks up its sleeve, too – like 401bhp and 640Nm of torque.
But that only tells half the story as this T8 is a hybrid, so you get a claimed 134.5mpg (expect 65mpg real world driving), and just 49g/km of CO2 means the lowest possible tax. Yet it still does 0-62mph in 4.9 seconds, then cruises around town silently on electric power.
